Congratulations to the Penguins for advancing to the 2nd Round.

And what would a round of Penguins playoff hockey be without an NHLTweetUp?!

So here’s is the plan – obviously at this point we don’t know who or when we will be playing. That said, I would like to tentatively plan our tweetup for next weekend, May 2nd or 3rd. We are going to try to accommodate our out-of-town tweeps, many of who messaged me asking for a weekend date so that they could come.

We are also going to contact the Pens to see if they would be interested in sponsoring us again. If so, great! If not, we are going to do it anyway!

So please RSVP here so we can get an idea of how many are interested in coming.

We will give you more details once we know who and when the Pens are playing! LETS GO PENS!!!!

Detroit TONIGHT is our night!

Even though we didn’t have quite as much planning as some other cities (and are just a little bit behind on the date…) I am very excited for our NHL tweetup tonight! I know it’s going to be a rainy day downtown, but I hope people can try to make it, it will be a great place to watch the game tonight!

I need to get at least an idea of a head count so get those RSVPs in as soon as you can! Invite EVERYONE you know! You do NOT need to be 21! Even though we were the last to get going, I fully expect for the Detroit Tweetup to have the biggest turnout!

Detroit Tweetup Final Touches

First I would like to thank everyone for their patience. I am getting the location finalized and will post everything by the end of today. Everyone should also be able to RSVP by the end of the day as well!!

I can say that it will happen Tuesday April 21st at 7pm. Little later than some other cities… but we’ll all be able to get together and cheer on the Red Wings for their first away game this post season!

Detroit Tweetup Date

Ok, so besides the obvious short notice, I’m thinking that a good date for the tweetup would be the first away game during the playoffs for the Wings. That way anyone who might have tickets to game 1 or 2 won’t have to face the difficult choice of to attended the game or the tweetup It would also allow people who work at the Joe to still be able to attend!

Once I have a definite date, time and place the twtvite will be set up. Hopefully we can have a nice turnout and a lot of fun!!

That’s right, nothing like waiting for the last minute While the official location is still TBA, I’m about 95% sure that Chelis downtown will be the place to be this Wednesday.

I’ll keep everyone posted as I get everything finalized. Come on Detroit, who’s coming?!?!?!
