#NHLtweetup COSTUME Edition – Long Island
What do you do when the Islanders and the Rangers both have an away game on the Friday night before Halloween? You have the first COSTUME NHLtweetup… with a twist!
Join the Hockey Tweeps at 6pm on Friday, October 30th at The Main Event in Plainview. The Islanders play at 7:00, the Rangers play at 8:00, two tvs will be dedicated to the games… And we will play nice. Right? Of course we will. Because the Hockey Tweeps rock like that. *grin* As always, fans of all teams are welcome to join us.
Now, about “The Twist”…
Costumes. Not just any costumes. HOCKEY themed costumes. Not enough of a twist for ya’? Okay… You can’t be a player from your beloved team. You read that right. You can’t just throw on your jersey and call it a costume. Get creative. Go ahead and be a player from another team; current, retired, beloved or despised. The possibilities are endless, really. You can be a mascot, a logo, a piece of equipment… You get the idea. Now run with it!
The Main Event is family friendly so if you have little ones that can party like the big ones, feel free to bring them! Twtvite has now been updated so that it will accept RSVPs from those that don’t have Twitter accounts. Be sure to RSVP for everyone that will be joining us to make sure we have enough space.
The owner of The Main Event was nice enough to extend the “Game Time Special” to our group which includes $3.00 domestic pints and savings off certain appetizers.
