Yes! It’s true! I’m finally hosting a NHLtweetup here on Long Island. After finding out that Jennifer Leggio (@mediaphyter) was coming to visit family here, how could I not? At first we were going to just get a few people together for a #miniNHLtweetup but then decided, what the heck… let’s turn it into a full-fledged #NHLtweetup. Long Island hasn’t had one yet and for that matter, I haven’t gotten a chance to host one myself! So, here goes…
Come one, come all! Regardless of who you cheer for or whether or not your team has made it this far, this is the place for you. This is about getting together with like-minded people who all have one thing in common: hockey. Whether you cheer from your couch or hold season tickets… Whether you played in the street as a child or still play as an adult… Whether you blog it or tweet it… it’s all about the love of the sport.
Planning ahead, there’s no way of guaranteeing that there will be a game on that night. Unless there’s a sweep, it will be Detroit vs. Chicago, Game 5. With Croxley’s 40 plasma screens, they promise to take good care of us. Whether we’re watching a game or not, it will be an awesome night of conversation with your Hockey Tweeps in more than 140 with the added bonus of good food and drinks.
Speaking of food and drinks…
Wednesday is 10 cent wings night!
Happy hour is until 7:00 so be sure to come early if you want to take advantage of $4 drinks and select beers for as little as $1.
From 7:00pm until midnight they’ve extended the following drink specials just for NHLtweetup:

$1 for the “Blend of the Week”
They have *great* food!
